Steve Briggs brings us his usual round-up of what’s been occurring big carp-wise across the continent over the last month

One of the highlights of this job is receiving reports from the less well-known carping countries and Denmark is certainly amongst those! We’ve had a few captures come in from Denmark over the last year and while it may not hold the monsters that some other countries do, it is of just as much interest to hear about them. The latest news, however, is that the national record has been beaten, with the first Danish carp to break the 20kg barrier. The common carp weighed 20.8kg (45lb 13oz) and was landed by Flemming Kastbjerg Rottenberg from Kolding, in his home country of Denmark and it was caught on the ever-reliable Nash Scopex Squid boilies.
