Mar Peche monster

Carpworld - - HOLIDAY DIRECTORY -

All waters provide varying degrees of difficulty and it’s fair to say that the northern French lake, Mar Peche, is classed as one of the tougher ones out there – but the rewards make it worth the effort if it all goes right! In this instance, it certainly did for William Chapman, when he spent a week out there in search of some of the Mar Peche gems. He actually ended up landing five carp, with four of them in the 30lb range, topped by a beast of a mirror, weighing 83lb 9oz! William was fishing to a silt area between thick weed at 50 yards, putting out 2kg of 16 and 20mm Manilla boilies, twice a day, and was happy enough with the four 30lb mirrors and commons before leaving the best until last and hooking the largest resident of the lake on Friday morning giving him a great 30-minute fight.
