Something different does the trick

It’s an old saying now that we all have access to the best tackle and baits, but it’s how we use those things, which makes the difference. Of course, there is no right or wrong way to approach any situation and every week and every day can be different, but, if you are prepared to try something out of the ordinary, it can pay dividends. At the start of the week Dieter Menten had firm plans in his head when he visited the Cubic Iles venue in France. His idea was to create a large baited area in the central part of his swim and just wait for the fish to move in and have a feed. However, not all plans work out and after a few days had passed, it was becoming obvious that the original plan wasn’t quite as good as it first looked. To change things up, he placed one rod well off the baited area, with just a few Krill boilies around it. And guess what, the next morning at 6.30am that rod rattled off with this 52lb 7oz mirror on the end.

FRANCE : CUBIC ILES Sometimes a change is better than a rest!
