LOST WORLD

E arlier this year, I was feeling out of sorts so I went to see a kinesiologist on the recommendation of a family member. Kinesiology is a branch of natural medicine that uses the body’s own energy in the healing process.

As we talked about my symptoms, we touched on the subject of my deep attraction to water. The kinesiologist looked extremely thoughtful.

‘You may have lived a past life in Atlantis,’ she said. ‘That could be why you feel more at home in water than on land.’

Research

Curious, I did some research into Atlantis. Like most people, I knew the legend of a lost city that drowned beneath the waves in ancient times, but that was it.

I discovered that many spiritual people believe it was a very advanced civilisation that existed hundreds of thousands of years before our own.

Some even think that Atlanteans came from another planet, that they were an advanced alien race that helped mankind with its own evolution.

Life in Atlantis was based on respect and unconditional love, and the people had considerable healing and magical gifts. According to some Atlantean experts, they shared advanced pyramid technology, used crystals to generate light and heat, and built sacred temples to attract pure source energy.

Shapeshifters

It’s thought that shapeshifting was one of the gifts possessed by these enlightened beings, and that some Atlanteans could breathe underwater using gills located where the ‘third eye’ is said to be.

After the fall of Atlantis, the refugees spread out all over the world, starting new civilisations such as ancient Greece. Although some gifts were lost – including the shapeshifting ability – it remained as a folk memory, giving rise to the mermaid legends that we know and love today.

Many people have recalled past lives in Atlantis – including previous lives as merfolk!

As I read this, it sent shivers up and down my spine. It really resonated with me. Itexplained It explained so somuchaboutme… much about me…

I now have three mermaid tails – two fabric ones, one pink and one gold, and a new, beautiful and extremely expensive synthetic tail. My bathroom is done out like a mermaid’s grotto, I love wearing shimmery mermaid makeup and accessories, and I still adore The Little Mermaid!

Meetup

We’ve had another Merfolk UK meetup, which was once again a huge success, and I feel like I’ve really found my community. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a past life connection between us. I certainly feel it’s possible mermaids did – and do – exist. There’s so much about our world that remains mysterious, that we’ve yet to discover. And maybe one day, if divers and archeologists succeed in finding the lost world of Atlantis, we’ll discover the truth once and for all!
