Practical magic

A Book of Shadows is a personal record of spells, rituals and predictions. Personal to every witch, it’s an account of magical workings and should be used like a journal, to keep note of how and when things worked. A special book is set aside for this practice, and often kept on the altar with the rest of the magical tools. It can be used to help you word and organise spells. Some witches use a fountain pen to write in it, varying the colour of the ink to match the spell. Red is used for love, black for protection, blue for healing, and gold for success.
