I am so pleased to hear he’s happy and yes, in life he welcomed everyone into our house – he adored people. Before us, he wasn’t abused, just not properly looked after. We certainly tried to do that. He did have an operation on his back legs and they certainly did become rather ‘inflexible.’ When he got weaker, we thought of getting him a pram, however he loved to be carried so we were happy to do that. I am so touched by his ‘blissful goodbye.’ We took his bed to the vet with him so he would be comfortable and not stressed for his passing. In the park where we walked, there are massive old rock boulders! I shall think of them as a permanent reminder of Archie. His ashes didn’t have a nameplate so I put his personalised Christmas bauble on the urn and there it has remained. When my chapter is over, I too look forward to sharing my next one with him in Heaven.
