CHERUB’S CORNER

My aunt passed away recently, and I agonised over whether I should take my five-yearold daughter Alice to the funeral. I decided I would, and told her that Aunty Dee had died, and that the angels would take her to heaven, where she would watch over us. After the service, I asked Alice if she was OK, and was amazed when she replied, ‘Oh yes Mummy, I saw the angel, just as the curtains were closed.’ I’m unsure what she actually saw, but find it really comforting.
