Dream or past life memory?

Ioften have a dream that I’m in a trench, dressed like a soldier in the First World War. It’s quiet and raining a lot. I can see the blades of grass above the trench quite well and there’s a dug-out made into a shelter. People have told me maybe the dream will stop if I can just get over the trench wall, which I’ve tried to do, and some have suggested it could be a past life memory. What do you think? My opinion is that this dream occurs when you’ re facing a conflict, as though your sub conscious is preparing itself for an imminent battle! you mention that you’re ex-military, which might explain the analogy-although we’ re all familiar with Ww1 images via films and tv so it could simply be your brain making that connection.
