Egyptian love story
Dorothy Eady grew up in England and claimed that from 14 years old she was visited by the spirit of the Egyptian pharo Seti I who had been her lover in a former life - when she was a temple virgin at Abydos.
When Dorothy moved to Egypt, she worked as a draughtsman for the Department of Egyptian Antiquities and gave archeologists accurate details of the Temple of Seti I at Abydos.
When archaeologists excavated her plans in the 1950s they found the missing garden and many buildings just as she had described. Dorothy was well respected by archeologists and the subject of the book The
Search for Omm Sety by Jonathan Cott.
Glastonbury revealed
In 1907, respected historian Frederick Bligh Bond used psychic archaeology to sketch detailed plans of Glastonbury Abbey. He was given information about the abbey’s layout by the spirit of a medieval monk named Johannes during séances.
The plans from the spirit monk turned out to be accurate and helped the digs greatly. But mainstream archaeologists were not impressed with Frederick’s psychic methods.
