My dream literally came true

Two readers experienced uncannily accurate dreams…

-

Below us, the water level was rising fast. Looking down at the deck chairs and patio tables swirling wildly in the seawater below, I pushed my children up the hotel’s metal fire escape, urging them to hurry.

‘Go on, upstairs, quickly,’ I yelled.

We got the heavy metal fire door open, and dived into the hotel, slamming it shut behind us. Rushing to the window, I saw that the water had stopped rising. We were safe…

…And then I woke up!

Recurring dream

It was June 2018, and for weeks now, I’d had a recurrent dream that I was on holiday in Majorca with my family when a tsunami hit the island.

The problem was, we were booked to go to Majorca for our summer holiday!

‘It’s just an anxiety dream,’ my husband Eddie tried to reassure me. ‘Don’t worry, it’s obviously not going to happen!’

In July, we flew out to Majorca. The hotel looked exactly like the hotel in my dreams, but I did my best to push my worries to the back of my mind and enjoy myself with my kids Zak, 13, Lexie, 10, and Bobby, 8. We’d only been there for a day when my Aunt Liz called me.

‘Are you all alright?’ she gasped. ‘I saw on the news what happened.’ ‘Erm…what’s happened?’ I asked, confused. ‘There’s been a tsunami in Majorca!’ she said.

Giant wave

I rushed to Google it, and realised that a ‘mini’ tsunami had indeed hit Majorca. A massive 1.5 metre wave had struck the town of Citudella on Monday 16 July, causing flooding and water damage

Video footage showed beachside tables and chairs spinning into the sea – just like in my dream!

Luckily, we were safely on the other side of the island and not affected by the tsunami at all - but I was still completely and utterly gobsmacked.

I’ve had precognitive dreams before, but even by my standards, this was an accurate one.

I think the dream was my intuition’s way of preparing me for what was going to happen, but also telling me that we’d be safe.
