Symbols explained

-

As long as there have been humans on this planet, there have been wars, sadly. You may be daydreaming of world peace, but if war-related symbols crop up in your dreams at night, here’s what they could symbolise…

AN AIR-RAID

represents fear or awareness of cataclysmic conditions or events, terrible and sudden turns for the worse, and a sense of impending trouble or doom about things.

BOMBS AND EXPLOSIONS

usually symbolise situations ‘exploding’ or finally coming to a head. Something has gone very wrong! But that’s not always a bad thing - sometimes that bomb just has to go off to clear the air.

IF YOU’RE FIRING BULLETS

you’re the bearer of bad news! There’s something you urgently need to communicate, and you don’t care who gets hurt in the process. If they’re being fired at you, you feel under attack from others’ words or actions.

FIGHTER PLANES

zooming around signify high ideals with dangerous consequences! If you’re piloting one, then you’re on a very exciting journey to liberation, or have an extremely strong sense of purpose and direction

GUNS

represent masculine and authoritarian power. Arrogance, self-importance and inflated opinions frequently go hand-inhand with these too. All in all, guns aren’t really a great symbol to be getting in your dreams!

IF YOU’RE A SOLDIER

in your dreams, you’re on a mission to do something significant, come what may. If you’re with a group of other soldiers, it’s more of a group effort that’s going on. There could be a confrontation imminent, or you’re being forced into a position of conflict with something or someone.

WITNESSING SOMEONE BEING HIT WITH SHRAPNEL

suggests that you’ve been angry or bad tempered toward someone of late – time to say sorry? If you’ve been hit by shrapnel yourself in your dream, it means you’ve been suffering the unfortunate results of other people’s negativity.
