NESSIE’S BACK

-

Wondering what the Loch Ness Monster’s been up to since it was last spotted on 29 October last year? Us too! Well this year’s first ‘official’ sighting of the Loch Ness Monster took place on 18 January, and the honours go to veteran Nessie watcher Eoin O’faodhagain, 55, from Drumdoit, County Donegal in Ireland.

Eoin was watching the 24/7 live feed from Loch Ness when he spotted a moving object on the footage. He said: ‘The object was at least four feet wide and maybe 10 foot long. It was a shame the cam quality was not great at the time of sighting.’

Poor cam quality or not, it was recorded as an official sighting on the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register – adding another tally to Eoin’s score. He’s the person to have the most sightings of the monster, having spotted it four times in 2019 alone.

Of course, whether it’s actually a monster he’s spotting is up for debate. Last year, scientific researchers from New Zealand concluded that the legendary monster may in fact be a giant eel!
