You left that life hearing the dying screams of your beloved family, and you wanted to be sure you’d never hear that again. That cannot be reversed. You died from a broken back, but it’s survivor’s guilt that has brought that back pain through to this life. You can absolve yourself of all guilt because there was nothing you could have done to save your children.
