Create an altar

Decorating doesn’t mean adding more, it can also mean taking away and really making the most of the space you have. For moon goddess décor, keep your bedroom minimalist and zen-like, adding soothing artwork, fresh flowers and plants and ambient lighting for a soft, personal touch, and keep a surface space clear to create your altar.

An altar is a wonderful way to channel your own love, thoughts and energy through both intent and material gifts such as crystals, incense or essential oils, written word and photographs. Creating an altar to the moon gods and goddesses can act as a powerful go-between, forming a direct route for these deities to become a force for good in your life.

Moonstone is of course the perfect crystal gift to the gods, but selenite is another wonderful choice, as this is the stone of the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene. Burn essential oils at your altar – jasmine, chamomile, ylang ylang and cedar wood all make dreamy additions. However, follow the safety instructions!
