GET YOUR SPOOKY FIX THIS JUNE
WATCH IT THE THIRD DAY
If you’re looking for something to bingewatch this spring/summer, this has potential! It chronicles the individual journeys of a man and woman who arrive on a mysterious island off the British coast. Jude Law plays Sam, who discovers the islanders are intent on preserving their traditions at all costs… Blurring the boundary between fantasy and reality, it sounds a bit like Lost meets The Wicker Man. Cool!
WHY WE LOVED… EERIE, INDIANA
If you love Stranger Things and were a kid or teen in the ‘90s, chances are you were a fan of Eerie, Indiana, about a boy called Marshall whose family moves to the desolate town of – well – Eerie, Indiana. And the place more than lives up to its name. Marshall ends up battling werewolves and ghosts as well as having to deal with a classmate who dies in a gruesome accident, only for his spirit to be transferred to a friend via heart transplant. Looking back, it was pretty dark for a kids’ show – and that’s exactly why we loved it!
READ IT! Ghost Of The NHS by Glynis Allen
Chat it’s fate regular contributor Glynis Allen had a long and industrious career working as a nurse for the NHS – and as someone who’s naturally psychic, working so closely with the sick and dying meant for some interesting experiences! She’s shared some of her spooky stories from this time with the magazine before, such as meeting the Grey Lady at Oakwood Hall Hospital. Now, she’s compiled some of her great ghost stories into a book – and it’s a cracking read for anyone interested in the supernatural. Make sure you check it out!

It’s based on the popular anime series of the same name, and focuses round the adventures of a fire mage called Natsu Dragoneel and his magic guild. It takes about 30 hours to complete, has some supercute characters, and looks absolutely stunning. Maybe if you’ve not tried it before, it’s time to get gaming?
