MUM’S THE WORD
I’ve always been slightly sceptical about ghosts until the guy who used to live in our house popped round to pick up his post and told us that his mother, who also lived in the house, died the night before. The weird thing was that the previous night, my wife and I both heard the front door open and shut and footsteps come up the stairs – but there was nobody there.
