JUST BUMBLING ALONG Dear Jackie

My pet rat Bumble passed away aged two years and three months. Please could you reassure me that he did not suffer during his passing. Karen, Nottingham

Dear Karen

Bumble was very friendly, didn’t bite and loved the freedom you gave him. I see him running along skirting boards, and he mentions your dressing gown. He had a friend that he would hop over – they were great mates.

He could stand up on his hind legs for ages like he was trying to get your attention. He would play you up by hiding from you but would appear back again; it was like a game to him.

I feel that he passed away naturally, perhaps in his sleep. He didn’t look old and skinny, he seemed well in himself.

He tells me he simply had heart failure, so it was very peaceful.

You have had many rats before him. You have ashes for each and every one of them, but he knows he was super-special and he loved the attention from you.

He shows me lots and lots of books and I feel would have had a nibble of them when possible!

He makes me laugh by showing me a vision of a rat playing a musical instrument!

He thanks you for all the love and attention and knows he truly was a special boy to you.
