1921 by Walter Hackett, tells the story of a man who decides to sell his country estate for a more exciting life. Several strange visitors come to the house asking questions – and he dreams he’s a pirate, fighting off foes who look curiously like his guests...only to discover the next day that they were in fact thieves attempting to find a treasure map hidden in his house! A huge success in London’s West End, the play ran for 18 months, and has been turned into several movies and a musical.
