Stuff of nightmares

The Gwyllgi is a nightmarish beast that comes from Wales, materialising in the dead of night to scare the living daylights out of people walking alone. Sometimes referred to as the ‘Dog of Darkness’ or the ‘Black Hound of Destiny’, it’s said to resemble a wolf, with horrendously smelly breath and fiery red eyes! It’s known for being an omen of death, so encountering a Gwyllgi is best avoided altogether if you can help it. To this day, there are many reported sightings of it around the region – from as far away as Wrexham, so beware, this weird creature can wander!
