Arinniti is a Hittite sun goddess associated with a place called Arinna, now part of Turkey. Powerful and vibrant, her main role was to protect, and she ruled with her husband, the weather god Tarhunna. Also known as the ‘queen of all lands’, Arinniti’s symbol is the sun disc, and her totem is the eagle, which acts as a messenger between earth and the heavens.
