THE THREE TYPES OF SOULMATES
Now you’ve identified your soulmates, you can fit them into the following categories and discover the soul growth for you within this relationship.
COMPANION SOULMATES
This is the most common kind of soulmate and is usually the easiest to recognise
– the sexual partner.
Soul growth:
Learning to practice forgiveness, to give love, to experience joy, passion, trust, set and respect boundaries, and sometimes parenthood.
KARMIC SOULMATES
Often an intense relationship of some kind that develops with a ‘scenario’ to be played out, these kind of soulmates can be siblings, work colleagues or someone who comes into your life suddenly.
Soul growth:
Resolving past life unfinished business. The soul lessons can focus on anything from learning to speak up for yourself to setting boundaries, taking responsibility, or practicing forgiveness and compassion.
SOUL FRIENDS
Friendships that can be longlasting or fleeting to serve the purpose of a spiritual lesson. Usually, the friendship develops following a chance meeting or
some kind of synchronicity.
Soul growth:
Lessons can be emotional, as with other soulmates, focusing on qualities like developing trust and kindness. Sometimes, you or the other person play the role of providing a source of inspiration and hope.
However, none of these relationships necessarily have an emotional focus – you may have connected for other reasons.
The lesson from this soulmate connection may be related to some talent your soul wishes to learn (with all the spiritual benefits this brings) such as developing an artistic ability or a physical activity like dancing or yoga.
