Hell and damnation

Back in September last year, a woman called Sarah asked me to her flat in a converted church because her children had been scratched by evil entities. People in the other flats had been pushed downstairs by invisible hands, too. I sensed the air was heavy with menace. ‘Something really dark happened here,’ I muttered. My psychic sense told me the church had once been a meeting place for the Hellfire Club, a notorious 18th-century secret society. Rumours were rife of Satanic abuse against women, Devil worship, black magic… The building had absorbed the evil and become cursed. Even worse, I sensed that, while she slept, one woman had been abused by the spirit of a Hellfire Club member, and was pregnant with the ghoul’s phantom baby. Not for much longer… My colleague and I sent the child into the light before cleansing the building of evil spirits.
