O ctober’s New Moon takes place in Libra, the sign associated with the planet Venus, just as Venus is going through one of her relatively rare retrograde cycles. (Venus retrogrades about once every 18 months, unlike Mercury which retrogrades up to four times a year). With the New Moon in the partnership sign of Libra, and Venus highlighted, it’s a great time to ask the cards about your love life, whether you’re single or attached. However, if your love life is of absolutely no interest to you, then you can equally ask, ‘What do I need to know to improve my

finances?’ as Venus is also concerned with abundance. Think of your question, then choose card 1, 2 or 3.

1 : New Moon in Pisces

If you’re asking about love – it’s time to bring the romance back! Face any fears you have around romance, too, and dissolve them with love. Meditate for clarity. An emotional hurt can be healed. If you can’t trust, all is lost. If you’re asking about money – take some time out to think about your best move financially. Follow your instincts as much as you can. What is your inner voice suggesting you can do to boost your bank account?

2 : Waxing Moon

This card comes with the message, ‘The energy is gaining momentum.’ Whether you’re asking about love or money, things are going your way and you are being led towards a rosylooking lookinglooking outcome. This card is a very positive omen indicating that you can create the reality you’re dreaming of, though it will take some work, and you are still not quite there yet.

3 : First Quarter Moon

See any dramas now as a stepping stone to where you want to be. The First Quarter Moon comes between the New and Full Moon and often brings around a mini-crisis. However, sometimes that little upset is exactly what you need to (a) decide how committed you are to your dreams (romantic or financial) and (b) put in the extra effort needed to manifest your dream and make it happen.
