FIT TO BURST

Chat It's Fate - - Fairy Folklore -

We’re always searching for proof of life on other planets – now some scientists think they may have discovered just that. 93 mysterious and rare ‘radio fast bursts’ have been discovered by researchers on Breakthrough Listen, a major project which scans stars looking for intelligent life.

These ‘bursts’ can emit as much energy in a second as the sun does in 10,000 years. But they come from a galaxy three billion light years from Earth so they’d need to create a lot of energy for us to notice them!

Scientists don’t know for sure what causes them, with many suggesting they could be natural energy caused by exploding stars – but some have put forward the theory that they’re extraterrestrial signals that have been deliberately sent in Earth’s direction. The truth is out there.
