Saints Cosmas and Damian are the patron saints of organ transplants. Arab twin brothers and skilled doctors who refused payment for their medical services back in the 6th century, they supposedly replaced the cancerous leg of a white man with the healthy leg of a recently deceased black man. They were martyred in Syria, beheaded for refusing to renounce their Christian faith.
