54% of women aged 25 or over have some facial acne, according to the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology. If you’re one of them, then instead of turning to products containing benozyl peroxide, which can really dry out the skin, try steeping two tablespoons of loose green tea leaves in one cup of boiling water, allowing to cool, and washing your face daily with the liquid. Topical use of green tea reduces sebum (oil) production and its anti-inflammatory properties should reduce redness and swelling, too.
