Can you imagine sharing your home with the evil ghost of the world’s most infamous serial killer? In September 2016, terrified terrififiterrified mum Gaynor Issitt told The Daily Star her house in Leicester was haunted by none other than Jack the Ripper. Gaynor claimed the spook had burned Bibles and attacked her while she slept. ‘Jack physically attacks me,’ she said. Paranormal investigator Mark Vernon told the newspaper he believed the spectral culprit was gas-fitter Frederick Bailey Deeming, who was born and lived in the area. Deeming was hanged in Australia in 1892 for murdering his second wife. He also killed his first wife and their four children before burying them under a floor at their home. He is regarded as a prime suspect for the unsolved Ripper murders, when 11 women, mainly prostitutes, were horrifically butchered in Whitechapel, London, between 1888 and 1891.
