My staggering £ £123,849 23 win!

Now it’s holidays and treats all round

- By Sue Duffy, 56, S Shields

Last summer my daughter, 30, sat me down and said she had something to tell me.

‘I’m pregnant!’ she announced, happily.

My hubby, Duane, 56, and I were over the moon.

We’d only just become grandparents – after our son, 32, and his partner had a boy. And now another baby! After celebrating at the local summer fete, Duane and I came home and put our feet up.

I decided to relax with a few games of bingo.

A friend had recommended Chat Mag Bingo years earlier.

Before that, I’d been a regular at the bingo hall, but then I’d got a new job, and I wasn’t often free during the evening.

Online bingo meant that I could play when it suited me.

My favourite were the link bingo games, played across different rooms, with more opportunities to win.

Recently, as I was off work, I decided to enjoy a few games.

A link game was coming up, before that, I decided to play 90-ball bingo and bought six tickets for 25p each.

Then I sat back to enjoy myself as the game got going. Thrilled, more and more of my numbers were being marked off.

I got two lines, winning nearly £9.

Great, I thought as I edged closer to the full house.

Then I saw that my last number had popped up!

A full house!

I thought that I’d won a game jackpot of about £30 – plus the £9 I’d won earlier on the two lines. But that wasn’t the amount I could see flashing on my screen, it said: £123,849! My heart was pounding as the people in the chatrooms went wild. It suddenly clicked. It was actually the progressive jackpot I’d won – that’s when you get the full house within 38 or less ball calls.

I’d noticed it was over £100,000, only then I’d become so engrossed in my winning lines, and I’d thought we’d had too many ball calls. But I’d won it… Once the game is over, because I’d bought six tickets I could play a bonus challenge to win extra tickets for the next game.

My hands were shaking from the excitement. It felt unreal.

But within a few minutes my account balance had skyrocketed by £123,849.

Still trembling, I phoned Duane at work – but he was on a course and didn’t answer.

Then I phoned my daughter

– no answer.

My son was at work, too. But I needed to tell someone. So, instead, I rabbited away to our labradoodle – so in fact, he was the first to know about my win! It still hadn’t really sunk in when my daughter called me back later. ‘I’ve won over £100,000 on the bingo!’ I gasped. But I could tell she didn’t believe me in the beginning. ‘I’ll be right over,’ she gasped. She was nearly nine months pregnant, on maternity leave. As my daughter was on her

way over to me, Duane finally got back to me on the phone.

‘What’s wrong?’ he cried, having seen the missed calls.

I just blurted it out, and I don’t think that he really believed me, well, not until he got home and saw the win for himself.

I texted my son, too, and he made his way over.

It didn’t sink in until my daughter confirmed that I wasn’t seeing things on screen and then she helped me send some e-mails to get confirmation.

Chat Mag Bingo told me my winnings would be in my bank the very next day!

It was such a huge amount to win, that I thought very carefully about how to spend it.

I decided to give my son and daughter a lump sum each.

And, just a few weeks later, we were celebrating again when our granddaughter was born!

Then, I booked a lovely holiday for Duane’s birthday and we’ve just returned from a wonderful break in Lanzarote. The rest of the winnings is still in the bank, ready to spoil the grandkids.

So thanks Chat Mag Bingo!

i thought carefully how to spend my huge win…
