‘Back to square one’

-

‘I can’t put into words how grateful I was when Mel agreed to be my donor. Finding she was a match was like winning the Lottery. But over the next few months, our relationship deteriorated. I was ill, wasn’t able to work, so a lot of the finances, the children, our home, was left to Mel to sort out.

‘It piled the stress on us and we had pointless rows. I was the first one to express my doubts. Did I really want to go through something like this with someone when there’s so much bad feeling between us? It was the toughest decision.

‘Now I’m back to square one. I’m trying to think positively but I’m not holding out hope. I’ve just got to take every day as it comes.’
