The Fall’s Jamie Dornan stars as Catholic landowner Liam Ward in this period drama set in Northern Ireland in 1885. The three-parter all takes place over 24 hours in the life of young Beth Winters ( Red Rock’s Ann Skelly), which is the day she’s decided to run away with charming Liam to escape her strict Protestant landowner stepfather Billy, played by The Americans’ star Matthew Rhys.
