Q I have severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Before every period my breasts hurt, I’m weepy and I snap at everyone. Isn’t there a cure? Lena, Preston
A Around 40 per cent of women suffer some degree of PMS, triggered by hormone changes. Treatments that can work well include vitamin B6, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), taking the Pill, antidepressants and stronger hormone therapy. Talk to your GP.
