A Mu­cus on its own doesn’t gen­er­ally mean much, though it can be a sign of ir­ri­ta­ble bowel syn­drome (IBS). But if you no­tice blood, or any change in your usual bowel pat­tern, that’s a po­ten­tial alarm sig­nal and you should see your GP.
