2008: Trial OF The common murderer

Chat - - True-life -

Rachel Nickell was walking with her toddler son on London’s Wimbledon Common in 1992 when she was murdered. It was years before her attacker Robert Napper was brought to justice. But on 24 January 2008, Napper pleaded not guilty to Rachel’s murder, sending the case to trial.

He finally pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and is held indefinitely at Broadmoor Hospital.
