Get away! Sardinia
Favoured by the likes of George Clooney, Sir Elton John, Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk, what’s not to like?
Beaches to die for
1
Sardinia boasts a glorious coastline with some of the most beautiful beaches in the Med – even the Italians admit that those in Sardinia are particularly bellissima. Think snow-white beaches and bluer-than-blue seas.
Hop on a boat
2
The perfect way to explore the islands is by boat (fullday or half-day excursions are available), book a mini island tour or mini cruise, and enjoy exploring private bays and invigorating swims around some of the lesser known corners of the fabulous islands in North Sardinia. Don’t forget to use this time to celeb spot – it’s not unusual to see stars relaxing onboard their yachts.
Explore the vineyards
3
We highly recommend visiting Siddùra, situated in the picturesque village of Luogosanto. Its wines have not only been nominated in the World Wine Awards but the winery offers the most incredible views as well. It also has its own shop so you can purchase a couple of bottles to bring home.
Take a hike
4
If you are seeking something slightly more active, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails. Capo Testa (the furthest point of north Sardinia) has breathtaking views with enchanting seascapes, making it a highly popular attraction (even if you don’t like hiking).
Delicious cuisine
5
Sardinian cuisine comes from a tradition entirely of its own. Perhaps the bestknown typical Sardinian dish is the spit-roasted suckling pig infused with myrtle. You must also try the seadas,a typical Sardinian desert (fried pastry filled with pecorino or ricotta cheese and drizzled with honey). It might not sound mouthwatering but, trust us, it’s amazing! And of course the freshly made pasta, which is on offer everywhere.
