Long-distance love

QI’m a single mum to a little girl and live in Ireland. I’ve met a man on Facebook who lives in England and he wants to meet. He’s single, works and has his own house, so seems stable and mature.

I’m happy with a longdistance relationship, as I’m used to my own space. But do you think I

should meet him? Is it silly to take a risk like this? Zoe, 32 A It’s lovely you’ve met someone on Facebook. Meeting in real life is a step in the right direction, as long as it’s in a public place and you let people know where you are.

You’re a single mum, so make him come to you, book a B&B where he can stay, and go out for coffee. Don’t look too far ahead – you might not even fancy him!
