I was over the MOON
Just 50 minutes after signing up, I hit the £1,360 jackpot!
Excitement rose as, one by one, my numbers were called
The familiar theme tune of The X-Factor thundered in the living room.
It was Saturday 10 November, 2018. I settled beside my daughter Melissa, 26, on the sofa.
During the break, while I was flipping through Facebook on my phone, I spotted an ad for Chat Mag Bingo.

Jumping out of my seat, I thrust my phone at Melissa.

‘You’ve won £1,510, not £150!’ she exclaimed.
I grabbed my phone back, peering at the number.
She was right! I thought I’d just won the £150 Full House, but I’d won the big £1,360 Progressive Jackpot as well. I let out a delighted screech. I’d only joined 50 minutes ago. Unbelievable!
When my husband Gordon, 50, came home I told him the news.
‘Fantastic!’ he grinned.
‘I think we should use the money to decorate the sitting room,’ I explained.
I’d been planning on a revamp, so it was perfect timing.
Not a big spender, I stuck to the original budget we’d set for decorating the room.
I went to the shops and fell in love with some gold-and-silverpatterned wallpaper.
A few weeks later, we moved all the furniture out of the room and paid for a decorator to do the handiwork.
We also replaced the old scuffed flooring with high-gloss wooden floorboards. When I finished my day’s shift, I rushed home to see the finished result.
It was gorgeous.
I divided the leftover money between my four children, giving them £100 each.
Since my first win,
I have continued playing Chat Mag Bingo.
