Should I warn off new girl?

QMy ex has started seeing a new girl and I’m very glad to be shot of him! The things is, I know he’s going to ruin her life, like he ruined mine.

He drinks every day, takes drugs – and, while he’ll be nice at first, he’ll soon show his true colours. But, by then, she’ll be trapped. It took me 10 long years to get rid of him, so it’s my duty to warn her, right..? Kelly, 36

ANo, it’s not. Stay in your lane! He used to drink, he took drugs, he wasn’t a nice boyfriend – to you.

But this is a new relationship that he’s in, with a different person – let them get on with it. Why do you feel the need to follow your ex around and warn his girlfriend? Let it go.
