Refreshing idea

Place a couple of dry sponges in the vegetable drawer of your fridge to absorb moisture, allowing the perishable contents to stay fresher for longer. Anna Hammett, Neston

Easter’s coming!

It’s time to repurpose your winter twig tree into a pretty Easter tree ‘eggstravaganza’, by decorating with lights, egg ornaments and felt creatures. My grandchildren always love it!

Eggs-ellent

We only have a small oven in our flat and no hob, but I found the perfect way to do a fried egg breakfast roll for my partner. Simply spray oil into a Yorkshire pudding tin, put your egg in and bake. They’re the perfect shape for the bread roll. Katinka Slingsby, Cwmbran

Icy does it

If you don’t have an ice cube container, a clean, disused meatball tray comes at no extra cost and works just as well. Simply fill the grooves with water and freeze. Janice Wood, Studley

Bird is the word

I made my own recycled bird feeder for the garden by adding the lid of a butter tub to an empty upturned ketchup bottle and cutting two feeding holes for the seeds before filling it with food. It’s proven to be quite popular with our avian guests! Alan Willans, Lytham St Anne’s

Sticking around

Place strips of Velcro on the inside of your kitchen or bathroom cupboard to attach cloths to. It’s a great way of saving space and making sure that they’re always accessible when you need them. Lorraine Shaw, Nuneaton
