How do I tell my 24-year-old stepdaughter to wear underwear around the house? It makes me so uncomfortable.

She sits on the sofa with just a dressing gown on, and as she moves, I can see the lot!

Her mum asks her to cover up, but she just rolls her eyes as if to say, ‘Here she goes again.’

Hang on. Am I right in thinking that this young lady lives with you and her mum?

If so, I think you’ve every right to ask her to wear undies in the communal areas of your own home!

That said, I wouldn’t do it directly. If it’s awkward now, imagine that chat.

I’d ask your wife to have a proper conversation with her, tell her how uncomfortable her clothing choices are making you both and insist that she covers up.

Maybe you can buy her some pyjamas?
