Sasha McLeish

Getting ready on 23 June 2006, 15-yearold Sasha McLeish told her parents not to worry if she was late home as she was going to an after-school dance club.

Waving her off at 8am, as usual, her parents were stunned when they got a phone call from her Bedfordshire school telling them that Sasha had failed to show up for class.

A search party was launched and police believed she could have travelled to Harlesden in London, where she was thought to have a secret boyfriend.

To appeal for information, 450 vans with Sasha’s face pictured on them were deployed up and down the country.

It was the first time this method had been used and police were hopeful it would see Sasha return home safe, but she has never been seen since.
