Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson, 16, was a happy, friendly teenager. A member of the local church choir in Betchworth, Surrey, she worked in a music shop on Saturdays and enjoyed reading and riding her bike.

One day in November 1995, instead of getting the bus to school with her younger sister, Ruth took a taxi to Dorking. And she spent the day in a library.

At some point while she was there, she ordered flowers for her stepmum, requesting they be delivered in two days.

Then, at 4pm, she took another taxi to a beauty spot and stood in the rain as the driver pulled away.

That was the last time Ruth was ever seen.

Her family reported her missing, but despite searching for the teenager, police have never been able to find out what happened to her.
