Walk through the woods and parkland of Tring Park, which dates back to the 11th century. It boasts open areas dotted with huge specimen trees, as well as ancient woodland beech and ash, and yew and lime avenues. As a large area of untouched chalk grassland, it’s full of butterflie­s, such as purple emperors, and wild orchids, yellow rattle and saxifrage from spring to summer.
