Sick of ferrying her kids about

-

Q

Another mum from my kids’ school recently started asking me to pick up and drop off her kids.

I really don’t mind helping out every so often but it’s becoming an everyday thing.

Sometimes there’s no explanation as to why she’s asking.

It’s starting to get on my nerves.

How do I politely decline? Kristy, 36

A

Don’t get cross, get answers! I can see why you’d think she was pushing her luck, but maybe she’s juggling a lot.

Perhaps you and other mums could share the load or point her in the direction of after-school clubs.

Or perhaps she thinks you don’t mind and you can kindly set her straight?

And if she is just being lazy? Next time she asks you if you can pick up the kids, here’s one word for her. No!
