Boozing away the weekend

QMy husband drinks every weekend. He starts after work on a Friday, and carries on drinking through to Sunday night.

We both work full time and have three small children. Weekends are the only chance we get to spend family time together.

This is causing strain on our marriage, and I feel like he doesn’t care about our family.

Please help.

ADoes your hubby know how much this is worrying you, petal? Calmly explain that you’re worried he’s putting booze ahead of his kids and that he’s missing out on precious family time.

Ask him, does he want to drink his weekends away, or does he feel he has to?

Maybe he does need help and doesn’t know how to ask.

Offer to go with him to the GP as a good first step.
