Turkey and chorizo burgers
It’s well worth making your own burgers when they taste as good as these
SERVES 4 PREP TIME 10 MINS COOK TIME 11 MINS
● 120g diced chorizo
● 500g turkey leg or thigh mince ● 1tsp smoked paprika
● 4 slices Manchego or Cheddar cheese
● Burger buns, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and gherkins, to serve 1 Combine the chorizo, turkey mince and paprika in a large bowl, mixing with your hands until evenly blended. Shape the mixture into four burgers.
2 Cook the burgers on the barbecue or under a medium to high grill for 5 mins each side until cooked through. Top each burger with a slice of cheese and cook for a further 1 min until melted.
3 Serve on burger buns with lettuce, tomatoes and gherkins.
