So lonely as a mum

-

QI’ve got a 4-month-old baby and have given up my business to be a full-time mum.

I used to be a gardener, spending all day outside. Now, it has dawned on me just how lonely I am.

I have some good friends, but everyone is always busy, so I rarely see them.

It’s getting me down.

Do you have any advice? Jennifer, 24

Abeing a stay-at-home mum can be lonely. Your days have completely changed.

Talk to your health visitor to check you’re not suffering with postnatal depression.

And ask what you can do to stop feeling so isolated, like mum and baby groups?

Or join a walking club to get back to the great outdoors.

You might not be the only one there pushing a pram...
