We’ve fallen out over nothing

-

Q After I told my friend I wasn’t free one time, she stopped talking to me. My birthday passed and she didn’t even message.

I asked a mutual friend if she’d said anything about me and she said that apparently my best friend doesn’t want to talk to me again.

My partner says she’s shown her true colours, but I’m hurt that we’d fall out over something so pathetic.

What should I do? Carly, 24

A Sounds to me that you both have a lot of growing up to do. You’re acting as immaturely as each other.

Stop asking mutual friends what she’s saying about you, and move on. Take it from someone older and wiser, sometimes you just need to let friendships go.
