This year marks 10 years of Ch­ester Race Com­pany’s in­au­gu­ral restau­rant, 1539 Restau­rant & Bar. To com­mem­o­rate the decade,1539 hosted an evening of in­dul­gence in May, with Adam Reid, Great Bri­tish Menu fi­nal­ist and Chef Pa­tron of The French at The Mid­land Ho­tel in Manch­ester.

Now 1539 restau­rant has an­nounced their next col­lab­o­ra­tion will be with chef Gary Usher of Sticky Wal­nut and Hispi fame. On Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 25th Gary will cook a be­spoke four course menu ac­com­pa­nied by cu­rated drinks.

Gen­eral Man­ager An­dre Siev­ers is thrilled by the col­lab­o­ra­tion. He said: ‘We are ex­tremely ex­cited to be work­ing with Gary. The evening will spark the be­gin­ning of a se­ries of tast­ing even­ings ev­ery Fri­day through­out Oc­to­ber and No­vem­ber, of­fer­ing the per­fect ac­com­pa­ni­ment to the chang­ing sea­son.’

This marks the start of a sea­son of foodie events to run ev­ery Fri­day through­out au­tumn, be­gin­ning on Oc­to­ber 26th. Guests are in­vited to en­joy a five-course tast­ing menu for £55 per per­son.
