TOAST OF THE TOWN
Miss Marmalade’s café in Nantwich won two prizes at the town’s annual food awards. The café, which opened in March, won the Best Newcomer category and the Café of the Year prize at the ceremony in the Civic Hall
Other winners included The Leopard, which was named Pub with food of the Year; Piste Wine Bar and Restaurant in Tarporley which took the Restaurant of the Year award; and Cheerbrook Farm Shop which was named Best Local Producer.
Food festival chair, Christine Farrall, said: ‘We know market towns like ours depend on local businesses, not just to survive but to prosper as well. These awards recognise all the food and drink businesses which attract many tourists and visitors to the town.’
