Finishing touches are so important when you’re planning your big day Cheshire Life: January 2019

Cheshire Life - - Weddings -

This Glorious By Heidi diamanté headband is the perfect solution for the bride who wants an unfussy, elegant accessory to complement a relaxed wedding day look.

The Mia headband has a subtle flash of diamante crystal sparkle, a simple wave, and a nod to the best of 70’s Bohemian styling. Wear it low to your hairline over a loosely waved hairstyle, which is very boho, or wear it further back for a more formal look.

The headband is handcrafted at Heidi’s Macclesfield studio so it would take two to three weeks after ordering. It can also be created in silver and gold. THE RING THING Looking for the perfect ring? Kayes Diamonds in Chester has a full range of classic, contemporary and diamond set wedding bands to choose from.

Classic Car Hire North has a selection of self-drive classic and vintage cars to choose from. variety of special finishes.

For that extra special touch Kayes can engrave the inside of your wedding rings with your secret romantic messages.

What does it take to plan a dream day? How do you stay on budget for a wedding? These are some of the questions that Lara Oakes and Rachel Farrington-allen from Festival Events & Planning answer on a daily basis. Whilst the company is only 16 months old, they have proved, through countless events, their unique selling point of being a full planning and dressing service - able to meet your every need and to ensure that you celebrate your dream day in style.

With a supplier list comprising of some of the most elite venues in the Cheshire area and someone for everything, Festival Events & Planning are a new company to watch in the industry.

“Kim and Tony had plenty of ideas for their perfect day. They had a healthy budget and chose some of our fabulous bespoke products to make their wedding day a show stopper.

After hair and make-up and a delivery from our favourite florist, it was time to head to the church. Our florist had installed beautiful gypsophilia bunches to line the aisle. We work with the trends and flowers of the season to create the best look to compliment your chosen theme.

Time to hop on the vintage double decker bus for a glass of fizz and to escape the (fortunately brief ) rain shower. Lara added “We provide matching umbrellas at the venue free of charge. It’s just one of the finishing touches to ensure that your day is just perfect”.

Kim and Tony loved our bespoke products, choosing handmade florals for the staircase in their colour scheme, bespoke, handmade welcome signage and our absolute favourite, the Festival Events & Planning Order of Service Clock. We work with our clients to pick the wording that personalises the timings of the day with rustic charm.

Rachel said “Our artist hand paints all of our personalised pieces. We work with local businesses, wherever we can, to support the fabulous suppliers we have in the Cheshire region”.

A sweet treats table completed the welcome to Inglewood Manor, a beautiful bolt hole in the Chester countryside.

Moving on to the wedding breakfast, the guests were treated to a floral sensation from our talented florist, with added balloons from another local supplier - a truly stunning backdrop. The stationery theme continued with bespoke place setting cards and table numbers completing the elegant look.

Kim & Tony then enjoyed fine wine, food and a band in the evening. In our opinion they spent their money wisely to make this their dream day. Their photographer Claire Basiuk did an amazing job of capturing not just the memories but the love between the two of them. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple. But don’t take our word for it. “Rach and Lara did an amazing job not only helping to make our wedding beautiful but to ensure a stress free run up and of course on the big day itself. We have really enjoyed working with you and hope to have an excuse for another party soon, lots of love the Allen’s”.

Looking through their portfolio and on their social media, it is easy to see why the girls have won so much business since their inception. Prices have started from as little as £100 and range to in excess of £30,000. One thing for sure is that their unique and quirky style could definitely make your wedding stand out from the rest.

The ladies recently shared one of their ‘love stories’ with us.
